Privacy policy

This page explains what Send & Return Audio collects, why, who handles it, and how to have it removed. If anything here is unclear, email hello@sendandreturnaudio.com.

What we collect

You can read every guide on this site without giving us anything. Apart from our ad page, described below, we only collect personal data when you fill in one of our forms, to get the free mix kit, join the waitlist, or join the coaching list.

When you do, we store your email address and your first name, if you give it. The first name is optional, and some forms don't ask for it. We also store which form you used, the page you signed up on, the date and time, which list you joined, such as a waitlist or the coaching list, and who you'd like to work with if you tell us.

If you arrived from a link with campaign tags, we store those tags too. They are the UTM source, medium, campaign and content values in the link, and the click ID that Google or Meta adds when you come from one of their ads. Your browser keeps these tags in its session storage, which clears when you close the tab, and nothing is sent to us unless you submit a form. After you sign up, session storage also keeps your email address, so the waitlist form on the thank-you page can fill it in for you.

Cloudflare tells us which country your request came from, and we store that country. We don't store your IP address. On our ad page, we pass it to Whop with your sign-up, as the next section explains.

When you download the kit, we count the download against your sign-up.

Why

We use your email address to send what you asked for. For the kit, that is one email with the download link, then a few short emails with mix tips. For the waitlist and the coaching list, it is an email when places open.

We use the campaign tags, the page and the country to understand which posts, ads and pages bring people to the site, so we can make more of what helps. We don't sell your data, and we don't share it with anyone except the services below.

Ads and our ad page

We run ads on Facebook and Instagram through Whop Ads, a service from Whop. Our ads link to one page, sendandreturnaudio.com/kit. That page, and only that page, loads the Whop pixel, a small script from Whop that tells us which ads lead to sign-ups. No other page on this site loads it.

On that page, the pixel records that you viewed it, how long you stayed, and the page you came from. If you sign up there, it records the sign-up, which Whop calls a lead. With each of these it sends Whop the page address, including any ad tags in it, your browser type, screen size, language and time zone, and your IP address.

To link your visit and your sign-up to the ad you tapped, the pixel gives your browser a random visitor ID. It keeps that ID in a cookie named _wuid for up to two years, in a second cookie named _wuid_link, and in your browser's local storage under _wuid, _wuid_link_domain and _wuid_link_seen. It also sets a test cookie named _wpd for a moment and deletes it at once. If you arrive from one of Whop's own setup links, it keeps a value named whop_verify in your browser until you close the tab. If you click from our page to a Whop site, it adds the visitor ID to that link. If your browser already has cookies from Meta (_fbp, _fbc), Google Analytics (_ga) or TikTok (_ttp), the pixel reads them and sends them to Whop, so the ad networks can recognise the visit.

The pixel also loads a second script from Whop that builds a device fingerprint. It reads details of how your browser draws graphics, plays sound and shows fonts, plus your device's memory and processor, and turns them into a code that helps Whop recognise the same device later. It keeps that code in your browser's local storage under _wfp. We can't switch this part off. We have switched off two other parts of the pixel, one that reads what you type into forms and one that probes your graphics hardware.

When you sign up on that page, our sign-up service also sends the sign-up to Whop from our server, so it still counts if your browser blocks the pixel. That message carries your email address, the visitor ID, your IP address, your browser type and the ad tags from the link. Whop passes sign-ups on to Meta, which runs Facebook and Instagram, so Meta can learn which people want the kit and show our ads to people like them.

Sign-up email addresses may also be hashed, which turns each one into a scrambled code, and uploaded to Meta through Whop to build ad audiences. We use these audiences to stop showing the ad to people who already have the kit, and to find people similar to those who signed up.

You don't have to take part. You can get the same kit from sendandreturnaudio.com/free-mix-kit, which doesn't load the pixel. You can also block the pixel with an ad blocker, or by blocking cookies and scripts from t.whop.tw in your browser's settings. Clearing your cookies and site data removes the visitor ID and the fingerprint code. If you signed up on the ad page and want out, use the unsubscribe link in any of our emails, or email hello@sendandreturnaudio.com. We won't include your address in any ad audience from then on. Whop handles the data it receives under its own privacy policy at whop.com/privacy.

Who processes it

Cloudflare hosts the site. It runs our sign-up service, stores sign-ups in its D1 database, runs Turnstile to check that a form was sent by a person and not a bot, and provides our analytics, which use no cookies.

Our own n8n server, which we run ourselves, receives each sign-up from Cloudflare and passes it to our CRM.

Whop runs our Facebook and Instagram ads and the pixel on our ad page. It receives the data described in Ads and our ad page, and passes sign-ups to Meta.

Meta shows our ads on Facebook and Instagram. It receives sign-ups from Whop, and hashed email addresses for ad audiences.

HighLevel is our CRM. It holds your contact record and the lists you are on. We use it only as a CRM, and none of our forms are HighLevel forms.

Our email sending provider sends the kit and the emails that follow. We'll name it on this page once we have chosen it.

How long we keep it

Sign-up records in Cloudflare D1 are deleted 30 days after they reach our CRM. If a sign-up can't be passed on, we keep retrying for 24 hours, then stop, and that record is deleted 30 days after we stop.

When you use a kit download link, we log that the link was used and when, tied to the ID of your sign-up record, not to your email or name. Those download logs are kept after the sign-up record is deleted, as pseudonymous records that only tell us how often the kit is downloaded.

Our CRM keeps your contact until you ask us to delete it. Unsubscribing stops all email from us.

Cookies

Our ad page at sendandreturnaudio.com/kit loads the Whop pixel. It sets the cookies _wuid, _wuid_link and, for a moment, _wpd. It keeps _wuid, _wuid_link_domain, _wuid_link_seen and a device fingerprint (_wfp) in local storage. It reads any _fbp, _fbc, _ga and _ttp cookies already in your browser. Ads and our ad page above explains what each is for. Those are the only advertising cookies on this site, and no other page sets or reads them. Cloudflare Turnstile may set a cookie that is strictly necessary for checking that a form was sent by a person. Our analytics are Cloudflare's cookieless beacon.

If you pick a light or dark theme, your browser remembers that choice in its own local storage. It never leaves your device.

Your rights

You can ask to see the data we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. Email hello@sendandreturnaudio.com from the address you signed up with, and tell us what you'd like. Every email we send also has an unsubscribe link.

Changes

If we change how we handle your data, we'll update this page first. When we choose our email sending provider, we'll add its name here.
